Honeymoon Packages for Bangkok and Pattaya are selling like hot cakes today. We would be discussing this supra normal phenomenon in this short article today. I happened to be at the arrival lounge of New Delhi Airport last week for some business of my own. Being a Travel analyst and enthusiast I have a tendency to study the happenings at the Airport as this is where future business could sprout. The sweet voice on the announcement system declared the arrival of Air India flight form Bangkok and soon enough the passengers of the said flight gathered around the luggage clearance area. I was waiting while one of the Airport Executives was helping me out with a minor glitch. I noticed there were quite a few married couples in the crowd. In India you can easily pick the newly married women from their dressing, vermilion, multiple finger rings, two and half dozen or so bangles on each hand. A quick head count suggested the presence of at least 6-7 couples who I reckon were on a honeymoon trip to Bangkok. If this were no coincidence then that would amount to a whooping 30 plus honeymooners traveling form New Delhi to Bangkok every day. Quite a good number as far as today’s recession hit travel industry is considered.

Back home I embarked on a little mission to analyze this bit of information form Indira Gandhi International Airport. Most of the statistics confirmed that there is a recent surge in Travel to Thailand, especially Bangkok. I am a IT guy working for a Travel MNC so I am heavily dependent on my co-workers in the tours department to help me with vital data to find conclusions to some of my analysis. This is what I found and this is what is boosting the number of travelers form India to Thailand currently.

1. Fall in Air Fare. Most of the major airlines have reduced the fares for roundtrip bookings. This could be probably because of the fall in aviation fuel or because of a special drive to attract more fliers and cover the costs with increased traffic.
2. Null Visa charges: The Immigration people have drastically reduced the fees for travelers to Thailand. The news is that current visa charges are NULL. That is you don’t have to pay for the Visa Charges now.
3. Bangkok has always been one of the favorite holiday destinations for honeymooners. Bangkok provides some of the worlds most popular beaches, resorts along with cultural richness, shopping options, parks, food courts etc that honeymoon couples go looking for.
4. The Upper middle class is now quite well off to fly abroad to his favorite destination. A special occasion like the one we are discussing calls for grand celebration whether it be Pattaya or Singapore of Goa.
