Review of Redbus.in
To explain the services in one word I would say it is Unreliable. They don't provide the services themselves. They are dependent on petty travel agents where there is no definite booking procedure. Since the source of service is not reliable then one obviously cannot expect Redbus.in to provide quality service out of the air.
As a customer I am narrating my experience with Redbus.in.
I booked a ticket for Jaipur form Delhi in Sleeper class on the 24th of jan 2009. They confirmed the ticket and their executive delivered the ticket at my office at Connaught Place. They charged me 25rs for the home delivery. I received a message on mobile saying your ticket for Jaipur has been confirmed. I got two phone calls form the Red Bus execs repeating the same. I started to think that these people are really professional and I am in good hands this time. I did this booking 4 days prior to my travel and the ticket was delivered a Day before my scheduled departure.
I arrived at the place of boarding before 30 mins and contacted the agent. Its 10 O'clock at night and I am shocked when the agent says there is no such booking. I call up the the redbus customer care number in Delhi and the exec who takes the phone tells me he will fix this and get back to me in 10 mins. By then it is only 15 mins to the departure. I talk to the agent and then he tell me can you go in the same bus perched on a bench that is put in between the seats where there is hardly any space to walk. He even proposes a place in the drivers cabin which he has already offered to some 12 odd people and I am supposed to fit in among them all. Meanwhile the Redbus exec does not call back so I call them back. No one picks up. I call them again this time they pick up and then hang the phone. I loose my call credit. I try again and they repeat the same stunt. I learn my lesson. By this time its 10 20 PM and the bus has not left yet. The agent (Allied Travels) tells me to wait. I wait for another 15 mins. He gives me a slip; a yellow slip and asks me to follow a guy to bus. This guy directs me to a seat. I think finally its all over and I am going to travel. A minute latter another guy who is supposed to be one of the conductors asks me to get down. I feel its no use talking to these idiots seeing their rough language and behavior with customers. I walk back to the agents office which is a 2.5 feet X 3 feet cabin on the road side near old Delhi bus stand. The allied travel man then asks me to wait again. Now it was way beyond my patience and I tell him so strongly to which he refunds my ticket.
Finally I take a rikhsaw to the ISVT bus stand near Kashmere Gate and catch a govt bus to Jaipur. After a week I am writing this article to alert you guys of the substandard service provided by Red Bus company and Allied Travels bus operators.
