It is an ancient cave temple and has intricately carved wooden doors and a 24 meters tall wooden "shikhar" or tower above the temple. It is dedicated to Hidimbi (Hidimba) Devi, who was a character in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. This famous temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Great Himalayas.
Manu Temple: Manu Temple is among most popular tourist attractions in the city. It is located around 3 kms from the main bazaars in Old Manali. It is dedicated to Hindu sage Manu Rishi. It is believed that it is the only temple of Manu in India, who was the creator of human race of the earth.
Vashisth Village: Vashisth is a small village located at the distance of only 3 km from the main city of Manali. It is located on the left bank of River Beas towards Rohtang Pass. It is worth a visit because of hot water springs and Hindu temples. Here you will see two stone temples – Vashisth Muni Temple and Lord Rama Temple.
