This video is encoded visit encrs.com | WTF?
Have you been fooled by dummy downloads before where you spend hours downloading video files and then find them to be encoded? Well this is the least you should get for downloading pirated stuff without giving it a second thought. I am not a supporter of piracy I believe the original creator must get his due credits. But if it was a file you got from some crackpot or were sold a crap copy by someone in an cheap local market then here are some tips to stay away from such things.
This article address this one particular distrbutor where you get a blue screen on your computer that says -
This video is encoded visit encrs.com for instructions.
This means you have been fooled. There is no way you can play this video. As it is not a real video anyway. It is just made somewhere around 650 Mbs to make it look like one. So any software you try wont help you.
In this case if you try to open that site encrs.com it will either be a malicious site trying to get some of you personal information or it will try to install some malware onto your system. Never fall for any of such crap. Do not install any software from untrusted sites.
What is the solution?
- Delete all such files in your system.
- Run a system scan from your antivirus.
- Mark such download sites as spam
- Get an online review for each software you install.
